Resistance welding is a type of electrical welding that results from the resistance offered by the heat generated to weld two metal parts to the current flow at the junction of the two metal parts.

Automation possibilities in resistance welding applications are higher than other welding types. In addition, welding quality is less dependent on operator experience than other welding methods. Resistance welding is very suitable for mass production as it provides high production speed thanks to its short welding time.

It is more economical in some cases as there is no need to use consumables in resistance welding. In addition, since the heated area in the resistance welding method is much smaller than in other methods, the internal structure of the material being welded changes less.
